HMG Paints - Sales Staff Training
HMG Paints Ltd, is a Manchester based manufacturer of paints and surface coating. Established in 1930 the company employs around 150 people.
Like many North West companies, HMG Paints Ltd is always looking at ways to improve its business. Having recently increased its sales department, HMG Paints Ltd decided to find the most cost effective way of training its new sales staff.
HR Manager, Irene Burwin, comments: "we wanted a training programme where all members of the sales team would benefit. We saw The Apprentice DVD-ROM 'Negotiating to Win' on the learndirect business website. Compared to some of the prices we had seen to send our team away on training days, The Apprentice DVD-ROM was excellent value for money. We could train our staff without leaving the office!
"I was particularly impressed with the DVD-ROM content; you can go back and forth between exercises. It's interactive so we are able to engage the entire sales team. And it doesn't matter if you get the answers wrong as you can go back and do it again. It's extremely flexible and easy to use.
"I think our sales team will benefit from the DVD-ROM, there are definitely some good messages on negotiating. Even if you don't like Alan Sugar you can certainly benefit - in fact we've decided to get the other two DVD-ROMs to complete the course."
