As well as providing the online Basic Food Hygiene course learndirect Business is also the only provider to offer the RIPH accredited Food Safety Exam online. The exam can be taken at a number of RIPH accredited learndirect test centres in England and Wales. |
The exam leads to two different RIPH accredited qualifications:
- Foundation Certificate in Food Hygiene
- Level 2 Award in Food Safety in Catering

We are currently building our network of online RIPH accredited test centres, but if there isn't an approved learndirect centre within a convenient distance, you can take the paper-based exam at any RIPH accredited centre.

To book the online exam simply contact your nearest RIPH accredited learndirect centre to arrange. The centre will advise on cost.
- The exam has 30 random questions to be answered in 45 minutes
- The exam has 3 parts: Introduction, Prepare for Assessment (which includes practice questions) and the Exam itself.
- The online exam gives you an instant result, and your certificate will be posted to you
