The Health and Social Care NVQ Online Planner:
The H&SC NVQ consists of an online planner that helps identify and recommend the units most relevant to the learner and their working environment. It contains everything they need to meet the Common Induction Standards and additional learning to cover the 4 mandatory units of underpinning knowledge at level 2. The Planner also offers diagnostics for 12 of the Health and Social Care NVQ level 2 optional units and a facility for recording the evidence that demonstrates work based competence.

What will your staff learn?
The NVQ Health and Social Care Planner is an online course which will include:
- An Introduction to NVQs, the Health and Social Care NVQ and the Planner
- A tool to identify and recommend the NVQ units (mandatory and optional) most relevant to the learner and their current working role/environment
- An area to record the units for which they wish to gather evidence for their NVQ
- A mandatory unit section which will include the six modules of the CIS course underpinning knowledge content plus an additional four modules of content
- A tool to record any planned activities to generate required evidence for unit(s)/element(s) of units
- A tool to track any recorded activities to generate required evidence for unit(s)/element(s) of units
The online units will cover topics including, understanding the organisation and role of the care worker, safety at work, effective communication, recognising and responding to abuse and neglect, understanding social issues in care e.g. equality, discrimination and stereotypes, and personal development. Other areas covered will depend on the optional modules selected.
