Maths and English Qualifications

Once your staff have completed their numeracy and literacy courses, they can take a short test and when they pass, gain a national qualification. Tests are free, last around an hour and can be taken on a computer. The qualifications your employees can gain are:

• Certificates in Adult Literacy Level 1 and 2
• Certificates in Adult Numeracy Level 1 and 2

They measure skills at the same level as other national qualifications:

learndirect has also developed 'Preparing For Testing' courses, which let your staff practise beforehand so they can go into the test with added confidence.

These qualifications can help reassure you that your staff are able to carry out tasks such as reading health and safety information, taking orders and telephone messages correctly and making accurate calculations - all valuable skills to help make sure your business runs more efficiently.
