The aim of People 1st is to provide the right numbers of people with the right skills and qualifications at the right time for the Hospitality, Leisure, Travel and Tourism sector. They achieve this by:

• Carrying out sector research to establish the future skills needs of employers
• Writing the underpinning standards for all vocational qualifications for the sector
• Simplifying qualifications so that employers understand which are relevant and their application to jobs and career paths
• Working with the nations and regions for the implementation of our strategy
